P6 Class Blog 2021-2022

Welcome to the P6 class blog!

I can't quite believe that we have reached the end of another school year already!

Thank you all P6 for your hard work, effort, enthusiasm and energy this year. It was been wonderful teaching you and it has been a lot of fun!

I have made you two word clouds. One is to remind you of all your P6 friends in years to come and the other is reminder of all your favourite memories from P6, which you shared yesterday in class.

Keep working hard, giving of your best and treating everyone with the positivity and kindness you would like to be treated with yourself. You will be great in P7 and I am sure that you will have a fabulous year! I will be feeling emotional seeing you on stage at the CCC this time next year!

To all the parents and carers, thank you so much for all your constant help and support. It really is appreciated.

Have a wonderful holiday wonderful people!

We had a competition to see how close to our Legoman we could get by programming our robots!

We drew our own shapes, calculated the perimeter and programmed our robots to travel around the outside of our shapes.

We have been creating group presentations on what we have learnt about different aspects of Roman life!

Enjoy! Apologies for the sound quality. Without individual microphones is is tricky to pick up the sound clearly.

We really enjoyed creating our presentations though! All groups used information from a variety of sources and they all acknowledged their sources at the end too.

Well done everyone!

The children have brought home with them an information letter about our planned movie on Friday. It is 'Horrible Histories - The Rotten Romans.' As it is a PG we do need to obtain permission in order to show it. I have attached the information letter here, for your information. You can return the form, email me or send me a message on Class Dojos, whichever is easiest for you. If you have any questions about it, please just ask.

Thank you again for your support

We had to be very careful that our circuit was connected to the metal wire and not connected to the protective plastic cover next to it! We learned that plastic is an isolator. We learned that the switch works like a drawbridge! When the switch is on, it will connect the circuit to let the electricity flow through.
