Air Quality Monitoring Project
This year, our school will be supporting the Air Quality Monitoring Project. This project, run by Highland Council, aims to raise awareness of air quality issues at Inverness Primary Schools, as part of a Scottish Government funded initiative to try and deter vehicle idling and encourage active travel.
Some of our JRSO reps and ECO reps met with one of the Scientific Officers from Highland Council to learn more about the project and to look at the equipment that will be used to measure air quality at our school.
The ECO Group and the JRSOs will be working together to support the project and help improve the air quality around our school!
Bike to School Week 2021!
A huge thank you to all our Lochardil pupils and families who took part in Bike to School Week this term!
This was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate cycling and scooting to school and the positive impact it has on children's health and wellbeing, as well as ensuring that we continue to do our best to look after the environment, in line with our COP 26 whole school focus this term!
Please take a few minutes to watch our video, made up of all the fantastic photos you sent in during Bike to School week!
Happy holidays when it comes and Keeeeeep Cycling!
Miss Munro :)
