Welcome to Lochardil Primary School Parent Council.

Lochardil Primary School Parent Council seeks to play a positive and supportive role in the education of our children. We work with our school and teachers to promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents and carers.  We aim to identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils. We apply for and receive grants for the benefit of the school. We fundraise for improvements to our school to benefit our children.

We meet up four times a year (online) and we would love to see some new parents and carers at our meetings!

Our next meeting is on Wednesday, 28th May, 2025 at 7pm (online). 

We always welcome new parents and carers and we would be delighted if you would like to join our next meeting. Our meetings are online, via Google Classroom, and the link to the next meeting will be posted on your child's Google Classroom.

What happens at our meetings?

• Meetings are informal and inclusive! 

• We discuss what’s happening in the school and any concerns or issues anyone wishes to raise. 

• You can contribute and get involved or simply just listen to our updates, issues and ideas. 

• Our Head Teacher, Mrs Audrey Kellacher, will give her update.

• Our Fundraising Team will provide an update on current and future fundraising. We are always looking for new ideas to raise funds for our school and how to spend the money to benefit our children. New ideas are very welcome!

• Don't feel any pressure to have your camera on!

Fundraising Group

A small group of parents from The Parent Council fundraise for our school and they have made a significant contribution to improvements within the school over the last few years and we would love to have your help in continuing this great work. The Parent Council works in close partnership with the school & teachers to provide support and fund raising activities for improvements within the school, including IT equipment, P7 leavers books, school trips, annual allocated amount to each class, school tracksuits, playground equipment and more.
