Open Morning - 07/10/25
Today we had our first open morning of the year. We had a range of team building activities organised that linked with our leadership work this term, allowing us to practise skills such as teamwork, communication, patience and respect.
Our class and our parents/carers took part in spaghetti tower building, a cup challenge, building our futures our of Lego, blindfolded drawing and pass the mic where we discussed some would you rather scenarios.
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it along today and helped to make it an enjoyable morning!
Fire Pit Friday! - 19/09/25
This afternoon we headed outside and used the school fire pit to make s'mores! We each got to toast a marshmallow on the open fire and sandwiched it between two chocolate digestives to make our treats. Safe to say this was a very popular activity!
12/09/25 - Buddy Games
We had a great time today getting together with the P1s and our buddies and leading some playground games. We played a variety of games, from tig to getting out the parachute which was definitely a favourite! It was great to see some excellent leadership skills from our P7s. And of course we all had fun, regardless of age!
IRA Maths Department Visit - 03.09.25
Today we had our first visit from Mr Cummins, a maths teacher from the IRA. Every 4 weeks he will be visiting us to give us a taste of what secondary maths is all about and getting to know how the department works.
The pupils were very positive about the visit and were really focused on the tasks. Today we were revising our place value up to the millions, as well as working on our written methods of additon calcualtions.
Mr Cummins was really impressed with our work ethic, mathematical knowledge and enthusiam show during the visit. We look forward to welcoming him back to our class later in the term.
