This term we have been learning about the 5 senses. We know that the senses tell us what is happening around us and keep us safe.
Writing
The class have been working on their fine motor skills and pencil grip. They have been doing a super job of creating pre-writing patterns. These patterns help us form our letters correctly.
Health and Wellbeing HQAT
All pupils took home their Health and Wellbeing High Quality Assessment Task (HQAT) this afternoon. Please read the information letter about your child's HQAT and follow the steps on the letter before returning the HQAT (and photos) to school. We kindly ask that all HQATs are returned by Friday 10th October.
Our open morning will be held on Tuesday 7th October from 9:30am - 10:15am.
Thank you
P1A have been learning about 2D shapes! We went outside to see if we could find 2D shapes in the environment. The class are now super confident when identifying 2D shapes.
P1A have been busy adding more detail to their drawings! We used Mr Potato Head to help us remember all of the things we need to include when drawing a face. The class did a great job of making sure they had all of these things in their picture!
P1A have been busy learning the n sound. We went outside to make nests!
This week, we have been learning about birthdays! We found out when everyone's birthday was and discussed how we celebrate birthdays. Most of our class birthdays were in July and August!
The class have been very busy learning their sounds! We have almost finished learning our first set of sounds (satpin).
P1A had lots of fun painting self-portraits! We all took turns to look at ourselves in a mirror and discussed the different hair, skin and eye colours that we had in our class. Everyone did a great job of their picture!
